OQSG is now offering Partial Skills Assessments in OQVerify. This means companies can schedule separate components of a Skills Assessment that are more job-specific to an employee’s position. By scheduling only certain assessments, individuals can complete assessments that pertain to his/her covered task.

OQSG is constantly reviewing and working with its safety training services in an effort to ensure customer satisfaction and convenience. In the past, operators and contractors were only allowed to schedule entire Skills Assessments. For example, an individual completing CT15 (Place and Maintain Line Markers) was required to complete all sections of CT15. This includes 15.2 (Locate Pipeline), CT15.3 (Install Line Markers), and CT15.4 (Inspect and Maintain Line Markers). Now, if an operator feels as though an individual need only complete assessments on Locating Pipelines and Installing Line Markers, he can schedule only CT15.2 and CT 15.3.

Starting now, OQSG can host other courses in the OQVerify system. With plans to host partial skills assessments and safety courses, OQSG is dedicated to easing your burden by going beyond Operator qualification. In addition to improving the functionality of OQVerify, OQSG has also changed the desktop application. The new and improved OQV5 desktop application automatically pulls down any necessary updates and courses, creating a more efficient system.
In the near future, OQVerify users can expect to find even more improvements, such as a communication screen for administrators and customized homepages for companies.
We would personally like to thank our valued client, Annie Ochoa, who helped us locate a small glitch in the OQVerify video streaming. At OQSG, we appreciate all of our clients, and we value your productive feedback!

OQSG has updated CT35 (Backfilling a Trench Following Maintenance) to include new information. This Covered Task now includes a section on “protection when minimum cover is not met”. The addition to the course has been finalized, and it can be assigned through OQVerify.

The decision to update our course to include information on protection when minimum cover is not met came as a result of a request by the operator Kinder Morgan. Kinder Morgan requires that this subject be covered for qualification. If your company would like to give feedback or make suggestions on this Covered Task or any other OQSG Covered Tasks, we encourage you to contact us.
