OQSG has released a new and improved version of Covered Task 15: Place and Maintain Line Markers. This updated version of the course includes more thorough training on locating a pipeline both manually and electronically.
OQSG decided to make these changes to the CT15 after researching and building a different course on locating a pipeline. With all the information acquired for the line locating course, the course development team determined that adding it to CT15 would greatly enhance the quality of the existing course. If you or your company would like to give feedback regarding this Covered Task or any other OQSG Covered Tasks, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The online Proctor Training course allows an individual to schedule and complete the course and assessment at their own convenience.
The OQSG Proctor Training course explains the expectations for acting as a proctor and ensuring valid assessments. OQSG is now offering Partial Skills Assessments in OQVerify. This means companies can schedule separate components of a Skills Assessment that are more job-specific to an employee’s position. By scheduling only certain assessments, individuals can complete assessments that pertain to his/her covered task.
OQSG is constantly reviewing and working with its safety training services in an effort to ensure customer satisfaction and convenience. In the past, operators and contractors were only allowed to schedule entire Skills Assessments. For example, an individual completing CT15 (Place and Maintain Line Markers) was required to complete all sections of CT15. This includes 15.2 (Locate Pipeline), CT15.3 (Install Line Markers), and CT15.4 (Inspect and Maintain Line Markers). Now, if an operator feels as though an individual need only complete assessments on Locating Pipelines and Installing Line Markers, he can schedule only CT15.2 and CT 15.3.
